Find the Right Dose of Kratom

Kratom proves the rule that everything is good in moderation! Since the effect really depends on the quantity that you take, it’s very important to find the right dose. High-quality Kratom should begin to kick in with a dosage as low as 1-2g and the effect lasts about 5–7 h, with the strongest effects at about 2–4 h after ingestion.

We recommend the following:

  1. Drink 1 teaspoon (1-2g) Kratom diluted in water.
  2. Wait around 15 mins to feel the effect. If the effect is felt clearly, you have found your right dose.
  3. If you do not clearly feel the relaxing or pain-relieving effect, repeat steps 1 and 2 until you clearly feel the expected effect.

Even though, many shops who sell Kratom suggest to drink it before meals, Kratom Island suggests not to take it on the empty stomach.

Like coffee, Kratom tends to have diuretic effects on the body so you might feel slightly dehydrated after taking it. Therefore, it’s important to drink plenty of water.

How to Intake Kratom

Kratom has a bitter taste a bit similar to Matcha or Maté. It is consumed mixed with a hot or cold liquid.

The easiest way to take it is to simply mix your right dose with warm water. You can add some sweetener such as honey, syrup etc.

Alternatively, you can mix it with juice (orange, pineapple, guava etc), milk, yogurt, jamu etc. You can also add it to your smoothie.
